Pool Man

Bert and Meg take their time getting to know each other, resulting in a sweet courtship that includes 2AM skinny-dipping in the condo's community pool and a romantic trip together to Paris. Meg knows she shares Bert with her friend, Fran, and is shocked to discover that Fran had planned to introduce Bert around to local country club women. Meg takes Bert to task for his multiple partners, revealing her growing affection for him.
Meg was an Army nurse in Vietnam and Bert was a Special Forces soldier. Neither Bert nor Meg will confide in the other about their military service until Meg remembers a resemblance to Bert in a photograph from her hospital days in Vietnam. She confronts Bert with this vision of his true identity, but also confronts herself with the pain, numbness and anger she has felt about their suffering. For once in each of their lives, they are honest, with each other and with themselves. Their intimacy and love for each other grow in the process.
