The Corpse

A young woman lies dead in the morgue, brutally slain. Her distraught fiancé admits to killing her. The local police are outnumbered by a gathering mob that demands vigilante justice for the bloody demise of the Burgermeister's popular daughter, and the chief of police sees no need to dig deeper into the crime. But Kapitan Franz Drubber of the Ministry of State Security discovers the murder is anything but simple. And that the real culprit may still be at large.
