Jackie Lake was only 22 when she was widowed. In the two years since then she has buried herself in work and ignored the strange sense that her husband was still around her. A jealous and controlling man in life, Jackie wasn’t entirely sad to be rid of him, although she would never have wished him dead.
Then she meets Mark when he agrees to take in his teenage niece who is about to be homeless. Jackie counsels her at the youth center and has a soft spot for the girl. Mark is handsome, persuasive and kind. He convinces Jackie to give dating a chance and sets her heart and body afire in the process.
The only problem is, the very-much-dead Kevin has objections. The first date they go on a strange cold wind haunts them. As time goes on, the wind escalates into objects rattling and moving about. The closer Mark and Jackie become, the more dangerous the incidents get. When Mark’s niece is almost killed the couple face a choice - risk death or injury to defy the ghost or forget each other.
Moving on without the other seems impossible, though they try for a time. But how do you fight a ghost? Mark and Jackie search desperately for answers, hoping against all odds their love will be enough to triumph over the supernatural.
