The Saudi Files: Notes from the Field

The Saudi Files: notes from the field is my story of living and working in three cities in Saudi Arabia: the most conservative, the capital and the most liberal. This book contains field notes of my ethnographic observations teaching English in Saudi Arabia. Had I aspired to a more traditional discussion of a travellers life in Saudi Arabia, being neither Third World nor Muslim, I would’ve had little to say. As my focus is on human interactions and social structures, there was an abundance to note. I've attempted to present this empirical data in an accessible and conversational format in spite of the horror. The Saudi Files is Book Two in The Scrappy Traveller Trilogy.
