Arizona Territory 1880
Chief of Scouts, Tobe Miller has a hard time tracking down the elusive Apache killer, Natahey and back at the fort his drunken commanding officer doesn’t make life any the easier. It leaves Tobe with no option but to quit and go it alone.
But nothing is ever that simple.
Tobe initiates a scheme to bring the wily Apache out into the open but he needs help. He calls on his retired mentor, the crusty old Indian fighter, Lebelle Montaine. Persuaded by the promise of a cash dollar bounty, the cantankerous scout agrees to go along.
They set the trap in motion but are up against a demonic foe, who will stop at nothing and will use every murderous trick he can to evade capture and draw Tobe deeper into the Apache badlands. The renegade leads Tobe and his companions down a dark path where no one is safe and the harsh dangers of the trail can only be resolved under the light of a hunter’s bloody moon.
