“I can’t think about Lucas. I can’t think about love. Love makes me weak. Love makes me feel things I don’t want to feel. My thoughts get tangled, and now I want to be in love but I said, ‘never again.’ I want to feel Lucas over me, in me, saying that he loves me and only me. Can I walk away from him and leave him to Elaine?”
Lucas:
“I thought I knew what love was but I never knew that true feeling until Sherrie didn’t want me anymore. When she said she will never love me again, because of my womanizing behavior, I grew up, and now I would walk on water for her, or part the seas if only she would love me once more.”
