Rattling Chains

I slammed the phone to my ear, “Colin! Where are you?” I was yelling.
“I haven’t time for that. I need your help.”
“What? Where?”
“Grab the chain, Hetty! Grab it, and don’t let go.”
“What chain? Colin? What chain?”
He was gone.
