Tweet Sarts: An Anderson Family Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and twelve year old Hector Anderson feels like a he’s fallen into a really bad science fiction movie where he’s the only one who’s in his right mind and body. He doesn’t get all this mushy stuff about love and relationships. Neither does eight year old Calvin, who speaks only through Mr. Buttons the sock puppet, or Chloe, Hec's drama queen sister. If only it were as easy as four year old Stevie thinks; he loves Valentine’s Day for the Sweet Tarts and lollypops they give out at Little Leapers Preschool. Hec's Dad misses their anniversary and Mom responds with a makeover, it’s as if an alien who picks up radio transmissions from Mars through fluorescent hair curlers has taken over her body. And then Sandy Richardson, the most beautiful girl in the universe, moves to town and Hec wonders whether he can compete for her attention, or should he just move to a galaxy far, far away.
