This is a short booklet which gives an in-depth definition and basic instruction in the construction and use of affirmations. Affirmations are essentially a form of self-hypnosis in which we guide ourselves into different patterns of thought and behavior through positive self-talk statements. Affirmations can be used either passively, to replace negative self-talk, or they can be used actively to change some pattern of thought or behavior through positive statements used frequently.
