The Nehemiah Mandate: The Coming Kingdom and the Restoration of the Church

The relatively obscure biblical books of Ezra and Nehemiah tell the story of the return of the Jews from Babylonian captivity and their restoration in their land. This is also a divine metaphor, not only predicting the restoration of the Christian church, but a template for how this is to occur. Unfortunately, the church today is mostly ignorant about this pattern for restoration and about God's plans for the invasion of planet earth by His Kingdom. He has promised that His Kingdom will be established. But will today's church be participants, spectators, or casualties of the invasion
