It’s a very ‘runs on facts’ world, but just how do you know those facts are correct or not? Because it says so on the news, in the newspaper, in the Bible. Just about everywhere you look the ‘facts’ are usually what someone else wants you to thnk.
If a close relative of yours was going to die of cancer in three days time and the specialist told you, would you tell them? Or would you tell them they were okay and would they like to book a really nice Summer holiday?
Would you tell a friend a story to amuse them even if it was a lie? Would you embellish truth with harmless lies if it meant entertaining a dying person if they were feeling miserable?
Lies can be very beautiful things, which is a good job because lies are such a huge part of life, we’re stuck with them; for better for worse.
