Kev Walker, whom _Wizard_ picked as one of the budding new geniuses of the mainstream, joins the _Weird Tales_ lineup with his own unique take on Mignola's acclaimed characters. Also this issue, _Hellboy_ movie storyboard artist Simeon Wilkins teams with _Buffy_ writers Tom Fassbender and Jim Pascoe for an old-fashioned gangster story, and John Cassaday delivers the penultimate chapter to his oddball Lobster Johnson serial.
