Goodbye Creation

Life is something nobody could have guessed. There were no apparent clues for anybody to follow in understanding the mysterious phenomenon that we call 'life'. Being born to Buddhist parents and having studied the Buddhist doctrine to understand the philosophy basically (Buddhism is not a religion. All the worshipping is only to arrest the mind. It is a useful philosophy for life and beyond as intelligent life is a recurrent series that doesn't end.) I accidentally stumbled upon the most unlikely clue in his final advice to his disciples - the monks. In his final moments when the monks were sad and worried that they are going to lose the teacher, the Buddha advised them to treat his doctrine as their teacher and said "All component things are transient; strive on with diligence". While everybody took the Buddha's final words for their face value as an advice, the transience of all component things struck my mind and I wondered why everything is transient?

I soon understood the fact that everything got to be sensitive to be transient and that is by decay and to decay, everything must be sensitive to be subjected to external and even internal stimuli. So, what is this thing we call 'Sensitivity' I wondered and I ended up solving the great 'Riddle of Life' to understand what exactly life is. I will let you read my ultimate definition of life in the book and take the bull by the horns - 'God Delusion'!

I understood the fact that, human ignorance on one hand and shrewd chauvinism on the other have created a faith in a non-existent god only to round up the cattle. Sorry, that is the truth. Gods were around for a long time. We created them and worshipped them even in the Stone Age. It was our helplessness and fear in a raging planet that pushed us to worship huge trees, various animals and mighty rocks etc. to beg for help. They were our first gods. Then, when we fast-forward human history to be around 5000 years in recent times, one man in Mesopotamia didn't like the other people’s idea of god being idols. He clashed with the society because of his ideas. Being an old man of over 70 years, his personal life was in chaos at the same time due to his forbidden sexual relationship with his adolescent sister. His father asked him to leave the house because of this matter. But, Abraham didn't want to go as a loser. He came up with a great hoax to establish his idea of a living god in a land he wanted to choose by wandering and give rise to a new race on his faith – Judaism.

Abraham went and chose Canaan (now Israel) to be his hoax god’s Promised Land. Only his clan followed his faith. That wasn't a lot of people and eventually his faith was dying without enough followers. Then, some 700 years later Moses grabbed Abraham’s god in yet another hoax to get the Jewish people released from slavery in Egypt. He was the one who establish Judaism firmly and hanged the carrot (heaven) in front of the donkeys. Well, don’t get cross with me; I am only telling you how you got obsessed with the dangling carrot. Don't ever believe in anything that is not in the visible realm my friend.

Well, while it is important to understand the history of your god delusion, the best way to come out of the delusion is to understand ‘what exactly is life’ and ‘how exactly life emerged spontaneously’.
