Her Gypsy Promise: A Short Story

This is a standalone version of the short story 'The Forest Dweller', formerly published in my book, Enchanting Whispers, Romantic Dreams.

Bethe is a gypsy woman of fae heritage, travelling home for her intended marriage to a man she's never met. A forest stands between her and her destination; a source of stories for the locals who portray it as a place best avoided. Bethe chooses to travel through the forest rather than skirting around its edge, as it would save her weeks of travel. Everything seems normal at first but then she comes to realise she's being followed.
