I used to think therapy was a joke. Now, I wonder if the good doctor had a clue. “Everyone faces their demons some time, Trinity. It is what we do with them that matters.” But, what happens when the demon is none other than yourself?

Four years ago, I was a typical teenager with a clear-cut plan. Go to college. Graduate. Get a job. Simple, right? Not for the only daughter of a Guardian. My life always had a purpose, a mission. I just did not know it until the cavalry arrived.

Unfortunately, my father is not the only one who wants me in his life. There are others. Ethereal.

I was never afraid of the dark…until it consumed me.
