My Demons Were Always With Me is a book of poetry relating to the struggles of lingering negative emotions from childhood. It deals with: addictions, codependency, domestic violence, child abuse, ignorance, abandonment, and religion. It is the child screaming for a voice in a world that demands obedience, dominance and loyalty at the cost of a child's soul. It is the struggle of an adult trying to sincerely grasp spirituality in a world full of people content on clinging to religion.
