The Paths of Si: First Trail

In a world ruled by corporate interest and a ruthless meritocracy, a young woman is thrown into the path of profoundly disruptive events. What at first seems like an unlikely but ordinary mugging quickly turns into a desperate plight across worlds. The perpetrator, a victim of circumstance, drags with him not only the promise and threat of another parallel world, but also a deep and subtle menace from the shadows of the Path.
