Hopkins on the Tower

This is the story of Paulie, a bar owner in Sundance, Wyoming, close-by to where the daredevil, George Hopkins, parachutes onto Devils Tower and gets himself stranded. Hopkins's rescue becomes national news, and Paulie's bar is the watering hole where reporters and would-be rescuers gather to discuss the events. Paulie man's the bar, listening to the reporters, seething over all the attention that Hopkins is getting, bothered that the daredevil came to town and caught the eye of his barmaid, Luz Maria. Luz, known to locals as Loose Maria, had been the object of Paulie's unspoken and unrequited affection. Paulie can't wait until it's all over and everyone stops talking about Hopkins on the Tower.
