A Vampire's Lament

Nothing comes without a price. That can be especially said where revenge is concerned. Three hundred years ago Merrick cried out, demanding revenge against those who took what he loved. He was granted what he asked for, never asking what the cost would be. Now he lives a half life as a vampire, secluded behind the walls of his mansion and watching the world go by. A world he intends to remain hidden from. But fate has other plans for him, ones which will rip his life apart at the seams, setting him on a course he cannot escape from.
