The age of the gasoline motor combined with a Europe that was running headlong into war is the backdrop for this tale. Many of the immigrants who found themselves in Sun Valley in the winter of 1938 had fled a world of oppression to start a new life. They changes their names, changed their lifestyles, and moved to the American West. This is a story of some miners, some skiers, and a few song writers.
