Monkey Steals Plum

Mr Feng is one of China’s new elite of multi-billionaire entrepreneurs – feted as China’s most favoured son and preparing to launch his potentially trillion dollar master plan: space missions to mine asteroids for their limitless, precious resources. Yet his success depends on a fistful of female characters, alive and dead… the closer Feng gets to his quarry, the more his questionable past looms: How did his wife die? Did he arrange to have his own daughter kidnapped? Can he wash the blood from his hands?

'Monkey Steals Plum' is part one of 'The Feng Trilogy' (novellas) and establishes the core obsessions of the protagonist, Feng. The three books are playfully titled yet serious takes on today's power shift eastward to China -- and tomorrow's fast-approaching age of wonder materials (like Graphene) and space engineering that could make a reality of outlandish possibilities like asteroid mining.
The three short books are imaginative novellas: twisting the literary genre and the 'near future' sub-genre of sci-fi, with undertones of the psychological thriller.
