Profile Picture (A Short Story)

I received a text message tonight from a Japanese flight attendant inviting me to dinner. We’ve dined together several times before and she’s a good woman, but I wonder if I’ll be able to tell her what’s been on my mind for some time now, and in case you were wondering, no, it’s not THAT. Please note that while many of Scott’s stories have a speculative element (fantasy, science fiction, supernatural, etc.), this one does not and is instead romantic fiction.
