City Girls: Amber's Story

Molested by her stepfather at home and bullied by her peers at school, Amber grew up miserable in her skin. She prayed for the death of her stepfather and to be freed from his monstrous sexual thirst but every night she had to settle with obscuring feelings of damaging-pleasure and spiritual exhaustion of trying to survive. The day she graduated Amber left home never to speak to her family again. Moving to New York seemed to be a good idea and after spending a year in the big city Amber became the woman she only dreamed of at night when she was trying to find solace in being left alone with her stepfather. A new determination and a bank full of money she returned to her hometown of Toledo, Ohio, with goals of starting a high-end shoe store. Once named the most eligible bachelorette in the city; all that changed once Sam walked through the doors of her boutique. He ran the city’s school system with beaming pride and the city showed him love because of it. A young power couple on the rise who was a proud example of black-love but all that changed with a knock on Amber’s front door.
