Endgame: A Brief History of the Divine Relationship

The Bible is a lot of things to a lot of people. Underlying it all is the story of a six thousand year relationship between God and humanity. That relationship has seen three distinct transitions when God has revealed Himself in entirely new ways, showing uniquely new "Faces" to us. Each Face was revealed to a specifically chosen man through the divine mechanism of covenant. Each covenant established the terms and conditions for a new, distinct divine community. Human history is largely our response to those Faces, covenants, and communities. We are fast approaching the culmination of this history as God's final Face is about to be revealed and His final community established as the endgame of the Divine Relationship.
