Helmet Required

Imagine a future where helmet use gets a little crazy: You need a helmet to drive, shower (slip and fall statistics), walk, breathe. Safety first!
Now there are special helmets for work and school, casual wear, or more formal occasions. You'd look (and feel) almost naked without one.
In "Helmet Required," a cartoon-illustrated Kindle book for kids (or perhaps it's a graphic novel), the young narrator's helmet/visor is a computer screen or TV. The helmet also protects him from biological or chemical dangers in his environment.
Overnight, nature sounds lull his mom to sleep, self-actualizing messages help her with weight loss, and alarms wake her up. And wherever you go, indoors or not, helmet use is a must, as granddad quickly discovers.
The story is newsworthy, mirroring today's Safety vs. Liberty debates.
The book has 15 pages, 2300 words, with four interior cartoon illustrations and a silly cover.
