The Sovereignty of Grace, and the Glory of God

At the heart of Martin Luther's religious philosophy was the conviction that people are absolutely subject to God's supreme beauty to protect us from the subjugation of the will by making and definitively satisfying each slant to accept and obey God. The level headed discussions of the sixteenth century about the flexibility of the will versus the subjugation of the will were not fringe to the Reformation. They were at the heart of the issue. At any rate Luther trusted they were.
