The book is a compilation of diary entries.Until now Buhle , a 20 something year old woman from rural Swaziland has been stuck in a life she finds draining and worthless, Because she was born to this life of strict Christian values, she longs for a more fulfilling life. When the opportunity to go and make a life for herself in the city arises, Buhle grabs it , and with the help of her Cousin, Mimi, Buhle is soon tangled in a life of drugs, sex, and ultimately murder.
