Waiting for it

The two girls eye each other, trying not to notice the handcuffs and ropes that hold them prisoner in the little antechamber. Too close in the small space, a boy soldier stands guard, his eyes telling them everything they are afraid to think. Faint screams come from behind the heavy door.
