A small-time, Florida, estate lawyer tries running for political office to enhance his law firm's business. He fails every time until he runs for U.S. Congress against the most popular Representative in Florida's history. By the whims of fate and luck, he ends up in Congress. He must fight his desire to be just a small-time lawyer and fight an aggressive wife who wants to be a congressman's wife while also wanting a divorce. He ends up the Vice President of the United States having a mad love affair with the First Lady. He never wants to be anything other than a small time lawyer, but he ends up the President of the United States.
