The Test

The sniper moved silently around to the rear of one of the building across the street from the house. It was an empty retail-unit and as such attracted no special attention from the passers-by, something it had in common with the sniper as he broke in and swiftly ascended to the roof. The sunlight warmed his back as he lay down and assembled his weapon before training it on the house. A few moments later he could see Sonu through his scope and he began to fine-tune his movements in preparation for taking the shot.
