Old Words, Old Songs

During the summer of love my brother Mike, two friends and I took to living on the streets of Greenwich Village, N.Y. so we could experience the Hippie movement up close. Richie and Artie spent most of the time in the cafes; Mike made several friends and moved in and out of various crowds while I threw up canvas wherever 'they' let me and painted for my supper. It all ended late one evening when a tom cat and I fought over some scraps behind a pizza joint. The cat won.
Over the 8 weeks we partook in this passage from youth, I had filled napkins and sketching paper with poems and prose. This book is that collection.
