The Girl in the Shadows: A Pint of the Black Stuff

Grace is growing up in rural Ireland and is singled out by an accident of birth. She never lets her disability get in the way and her sometimes poignant, often hilarious adventures move the reader to tears as well as laughter. Grace's run ins with the Parish Priest and her inability to recognise her father's drinking problems lead to hilarious misunderstandings as she makes her way through life.
