Mia's heart was broken in Tokyo when her first lover, Takamura, disappeared without saying goodbye. Mia becomes a scuba instructor and moves to a remote resort in the Maldives where, she hopes, memories of Takamura with finally fade. The plan works - until Takamura shows up asking to learn how to dive. Mia is shocked that he found her, but more shocked when the secrets of his disappearance begin to emerge.
