Inspector Kriton Ellis is the fictional protagonist of a series of short mystery stories created by Steven Mason. He is residing in London and solves crimes by examining and evaluating clues in order to uncover the identity of the criminal. In this story, Luke Deen returns from New York to support his father who was too ill to be left on his own but starts flirting with his young wife. Anthony Deen catches them making love and unable to withstand the infidelity dies of a heart attack. His son leaves the house embarrassed but two days later is found dead.
