Mildred's husband, Gerard, had admitted that he had had an affair with another woman. She wanted a divorce. She asked Hilda, her friend, for the name of the lawyer she had used. She made an appointment with the lawyer. Mildred made several phone calls that resulted in a surprising ending. This story tells about those calls.
