The Philosopher King

One year after the events of Dreamwalking, Alexander Diamond is hard at work training in the Ruby Mansion with his peers. However, dark conspiring is going on behind closed doors as the deadly Black is dispatched back into the Dreamscape to deal with the rising rumors of war between the major factions of Dream Walkers. When the name "Philosopher King" is spoken, all heads turn and ears perk at the prospect of the next near-omnipotent leader of the Dream Walkers to take the throne and put a stop to the fighting -- for better or for worse.

In the Waking World, Ashlyn is cut off entirely from the Dreamscape and forced to live in a world of black and white while her mind is ever expanding. But, is her sanity slipping, or is it being driven over the edge by forces unknown; all the while dealing with the normal wear-and-tear of high school life.

Book 2 in the Dream Walkers series sees war among the Dream Walkers, as well as a constant struggle for the Philosopher faction to complete its sworn duty -- to protect the Sleepers from the torment of Nightmares and, ultimately, their escape into the Waking World where they spread havoc and mayhem wherever they go.
