Nancy Mae & the Sad Christmas Tree

Nancy Mae stared out the window every day at St. Patrick's Orphanage, for her parents. She knew they would come to pick her up. But many days passed and there was no sign of them. All the other kids had stared out the window too when they first arrived. It took Nancy a while to realize they would not be coming to get her. The only thing that distracted her was decorating the Christmas Tree. The sisters all encouraged the kids to put something they valued on the Christmas tree to make the tree happy. So Nancy went to her little box to see what she could put on it. She found something, it was her mother's but could she dare part with it?
