SHORT STORY 7800 WORDS
Every year, it's Halloween tradition for Oliver to help little brother, Billy, create the most spectacular gore-filled, blood-soaked, frightening costume for Trick-or-Treating. Oliver is an Honor Roll science nerd and Billy is always amazed at what Big Ollie helps him create! He's always the hit of the evening and the talk of the school the next day!
This year, a girl enters the picture: Justine. She's beautiful, smart and actually likes Oliver!
The annual science fair is the weekend right before Halloween and Oliver just has to impress Justine! He's been working on a real artificially intelligent automaton with true AI capabilities; a feat no one has yet to accomplish. He works all weekend and there's just no time left to for tradition.
An unlikely source helps little Billy this year and the outcome is one that no one predicted... And it isn't pretty.
A true tale of misunderstood love.
