A Ghoulish Evening, A Short Story

It's Halloween and little Billy's mom is working late at the hospital! She agreed to let him go Trick-or-Treating on his own this year as long as he promised to be home by 9 o'clock and call her from the kitchen phone.

He was a big boy now! All the kids go out by themselves!

At least...that's what Billy told mom.

It was almost 9 o'clock and Billy had a choice to make: Walk around the creepy graveyard and be late, get grounded and miss Katie's birthday party... Or, walk the shortcut through the graveyard and be on time! Um...no brainer! He was a big boy, now!
