The Undergraduates

The Undergraduates traces Shawn’s journey to find purpose in love under the microscope of tradition and expectation. He struggles to recognize what he built with Gabriella – his ex-lover, friend and confidant – who is only drawing farther and further away from him. Solace eludes him and his desire to fill the void left by Gabriella leads him to a devastating truth that he alone must encounter.
The Undergraduates grapples with the raw and necessary human need to belong, to feel loved, all within a myriad of conflicting molds and perspectives on how to truly be an adult. We aren’t simply someone’s husband, son, employee, boyfriend. We interpret and reinterpret our life as we reflect on our past, by choosing and being forced to choose who we are now, what we’ll became, or just what we’ll do tomorrow. We’re cobbled together by experiences and truths and lies and hopes and what we didn’t do. The Undergraduates will appeal to our generation reared on a culture of promiscuity and self-absorption; it forces readers to get under the covers with generation ME.
