Morning in Melbourne traces the life of Louise, mother of three, from 2005 to 2010, the five years after her divorce. It is a period of her life which forces her to toughen up, stand on her own two feet, and accept the fact that her place in the world has irretrievably changed.
In response, Louise has to change the way she interacts with the world in order to achieve her goals - i.e., raise her kids, change her career so that she can support herself and her family, and carve out some sort of social life. Louise becomes hard-headed and focussed, and one by one, all the gremlins exit the program, and the re-building seems to be almost complete.
