In "Between Us Men," a dad's decision to sell an antique car that his son, Adam, feels entitled to leads to a physical altercation. One last ride in the car gives Adam insight into Dad's childhood and in turn, insight into the decision.
"The Victims of Nicholas Sparks" follows the conversation between a couple on a blind date. The man explains the observation that too often expectations are unreasonable due to the influence of the writings of Nicholas Sparks.
"Nowhere" examines the reaction of a road crew to the suicide of their friend, Carl. Without a note to give them answers, they're left speculating as to the cause.
