The Sleeper Awakens

A shadow man follows Stephen from hospital to hospital, and from home to home. The shadow man doesn't speak, but is often there when Stephen wakes from one of his long bouts of sleep, or when he is about to enter his dream world. His parents are at a loss to understand his situation, though they take him to many different doctors in the hopes one of them might figure out what is wrong with their son. But for Stephen, while he at first makes the most of his situation, soon struggles to cope with his sleep disorder, and fights to keep his sanity even while the shadow man laughs at his inability to control what is happening to him.
