They're Raping Our Moon

Two weeks before the American inauguration of 2017, a flash of light in the distant Kuiper Belt heralds the approach of an Object heading toward Earth, setting off a crisis in America and across the globe. Astronomer Pauline Theodorakis is one of the first to see it, and becomes one of the billions watching the Object. Its arrival near Earth and deciphering its purpose and intent are critical; as a tweet from the incoming president-elect puts it, “They’re raping our Moon.” But the question on everyone’s mind is: Where will it go next?
