Katie and Charles have come to an agreement. She will be the dutiful housewife while he is the breadwinner. Katie takes to her new role with a surprising affinity and doesn't miss her career at all. When a door to door make up salesman arrives, she takes her modern housewife role to a whole new level. The odd cosmetics of Mr. Winter produce a whole new personality in Katie, reminding her of carnal desires she had put aside to pursue her career. When Charles gets home for his anniversary, he finds his wife at a whole new level of devotion. Still, the piper must be paid, and Bill, a neighbor whose own wife is a customer of Mr. Winter's wonderful cosmetics, comes to take his finder's fee. Katie is happy to give it to him.
