Ah, the Golden Years. The kids are out of the nest. Hopefully you have retired and now there's time for hobbies, friends, trips and most of all sex. As one sitcom put it anywhere, anytime. Unfortunately the reality can be a little different. This book is a humorous, practical and very enjoyable guide to the sensuous side of life after age sixty. I am a retired tugboat captain and most definitely not a sex therapist. How does that qualify me to write this book? If experience is the best teacher and many say it is; I may be better qualified than many therapists. As a tug skipper I have spent most of my life learning how things work from a very practical perspective. You try, you fail and you learn. In my work, I left my wife home alone many times. I was gone over half the year. This really tries a marriage and the divorce rate is through the roof! Right now, I can’t think of a co-worker who still is on his first wife unless it is one of those twenty somethings working the deck. Generally us old timers would be polygamists if we had had all of our wives at the same time. I am one of the lucky ones. I’ve been married for 37 years (to the same woman)!
Within this book, I will describe how to meet each other again. How to rediscover lost passion and how to develop new feelings of respect and love for each other. You will discover doable suggestions for increasing love, sensuality and passion for each other. And you will have a lot of fun in the process. This isn't magic. It is about opening up to each other. This isn't therapy either. It's about learning to talk and play together again. It is also about accepting that you are older, but that life is not over. Believe it or not there may be plenty that is new and exciting for you to discover about each other. Open up and enjoy!
