Algernon Grimsdale is unsettled when he indulges his sister and attends a less than entirely proper masquerade.

Algernon Grimsdale wishes to see his sister happily married, and soon, but it seems a harmless adventure. Until an unknown naval officer and a mysterious "lady" complicate his plans after attending a masquerade. His sister Sophy may be on her way to being settled, but will Algie lose his heart to Lieutenant Richard Smith as well?
