Linus Jackson

Linus Jackson and Manfred Axsom are cowboys with conflicts. Fury brings the men to a showdown and that showdown creates more trouble, heartbreak and confusion, leaving no settling of dust, no solace, no emotional comfort. So time had not been Linus’s friend, after all. His sins revealed, he must dance with the devil. Did he kill for love or did he kill out of fury? Did he hide away out of fear or for peace? Will his appearance in court be honest or that of lies? To prove the importance of truth and compassion to the most precious gift in life, his granddaughter Maxinne, he knows he must truthfully and openly confess his violent past, but how can he do that without causing tremendous familial disruption? Will it destroy his relationship with Maxinne? Will she understand the anger of a young man’s necessity for vengeance? Will she forgive his deliberate motives to kill? How can he justify his taking the lives of others when he’s taught Maxinne all along to respect each and every life? How will he explain hiding his past from her? But he is willing, if need be, to die for love, to open up the wound of secrecy and let it drip clean. The only question left is will Maxinne forgive him before he does?
