Leona the Part-Time Fairy: The Discovery

Leona Lacey races off in a huff into the Oregon forest near her home, only to quite literally trip over, or perhaps it's trip into, a discovery that soon has her inside a fairy tree and off on an adventure in Fairyland. She and the trouble-making Rosalea the Fairy find themselves censured and confined in the fairy bungle until an accident of the natural world sets them off through a rainy night on the lam, pursued by fairy scouts in an inhospitable forest posted with signs calling them traitors! Book 1 of 4 ends with Leona and Rosalea waiting out the storm, safe for the moment, inside a mouse hole.
