Nearly a year after her adventure with Agent Carter, Stella Hunter wants nothing more than to raise her eight-year-old son, Gabriel, in peace. But Gabriel was born with a deadly curse – and although the amulets with the power to activate the curse have been destroyed, the terrible power still seethes inside of him.

When all hope seems lost, Stella hears whispers of an ancient gold scroll with an incantation powerful enough to remove any curse – even the one that threatens to kill her son. But the last time anyone saw the scroll was over a thousand years ago, when it was locked into an onyx box and loaded onto a ship in Trieste. A ship that never reached its destination.

Despite the odds, Stella sets out once again with Carter on a race against time to save her son. In this fast-paced, action-packed adventure, Stella and Carter must discover the scroll before someone figures out how to activate Gabriel’s curse again – turning him, once more, into the Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse.
